US President Joe Biden is set to make an early arrival in India, touching down two days ahead of the G20 summit. The White House has confirmed his visit, scheduled for September 7, with the G20 summit, hosted by India as its president, taking place on September 9 and 10 in New Delhi. President Biden's early arrival signals his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. Ahead of the G20 summit in New Delhi, life-sized langur monkey cutouts have appeared across the city to deter rhesus monkeys from causing disruptions. Rhesus monkeys have been a persistent problem, darting into traffic and attacking pedestrians. The larger langur monkeys, identifiable by their black faces, are used by authorities to intimidate the smaller monkeys. Alongside the cutouts, workers mimic langur calls, creating the illusion of their presence. Food is provided to monkeys in forested areas to keep them within boundaries, with positive results reported. This isn't the first time New Delhi has used langurs to address monkey issues during major events, such as the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Shah Rukh Khan fans have turned the ‘Jawan’ release into a euphoria. A fan club of the actor has booked the entire theatre for the first show of the film at the Cinepolis theatre on September 7. Naresh Goyal, founder of the now-defunct Jet Airways, was arrested on Friday by the Enforcement Directorate in a ₹538 crore fraud case involving Canara Bank. Goyal was detained for questioning after missing two previous summons related to a CBI FIR filed in May over allegations of cheating, conspiracy and misconduct. Searches were conducted at Goyal's Mumbai residence and offices. The CBI complaint alleges he caused wrongful loss of ₹538.62 crore to Canara Bank. Jet Airways shut operations in April 2019 after 25 years due to heavy losses and failure to raise funds. Goyal's arrest comes amid probes into the airline's financial troubles before its collapse.

India has launched its first ever solar mission, Aditya L1, just 10 days after landing a spacecraft on the moon's south pole. The spacecraft blasted off atop a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle rocket from Sriharikota at 11:50am local time. Aditya L1 will initially enter Low Earth Orbit before firing its onboard engines to journey 1.5 million km over 4 months to a halo orbit around the Sun-Earth Lagrange point L1. It will stabilize at this gravitationally balanced position to conduct observations. According to the Indian Space Research Organisation, Aditya L1 is India's first observatory-class mission dedicated to studying the Sun's atmosphere. The pioneering spacecraft will provide new insights on our star.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched its first-ever solar mission, Aditya L1, on Saturday at 11:50am (IST) aboard a PSLV rocket. The satellite will initially orbit Earth for 16 days before embarking on its 125-day, 1.5 million km journey to the L1 halo orbit around the Sun. Aditya L1 will conduct remote observations of the solar corona and in-situ measurements of solar winds, furthering solar study.
