The Sea Viper Air Defence system, which recently thwarted drone threats in the Red Sea, will undergo a £405 million upgrade, making it the Royal Navy's most advanced naval air defence system. The enhancements include new warheads and software, enabling it to counter ballistic missile threats, crucial for safeguarding the UK's Carrier Strike group.
