"The light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram always energizes devotees worldwide. My resolution got strengthened after the auspicious Ayodhya visit that people of India should have solar rooftops," said PM Modi on social media. Announcing his first decision after returning from the Ram temple consecration ceremony, the PM stated, "Our government will launch 'Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana' targeting installation of solar rooftops on 1 crore houses." He added, "This will not only reduce electricity bills of poor and middle class, but also make India self-reliant in energy." Earlier, Modi had presided over the 'pran pratishtha' of the Ayodhya Ram temple. The PM said the solar scheme will "reduce electricity bill of poor and middle class, but will also make India self-reliant in energy sector."
