Telangana's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has initiated a probe into Shiva Balakrishna, Secretary of TSRERA and former Director of HMDA, revealing assets exceeding ₹100 crore. The investigation alleges that Mr. Balakrishna exploited his official role to favor real estate companies in acquiring permits. The ACB's search, spanning 20 locations, uncovered assets such as gold, flats, bank deposits, and benami holdings, totaling ₹100 crore. The seized items include ₹40 lakh in cash, 2 kg of gold, 60 high-end watches, property documents, and electronic devices. A case of unaccounted assets has been registered, with ongoing scrutiny of bank lockers and undisclosed assets.
