The Mavelikkara Additional District Session Court-I has sentenced 15 members of the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI) to death for the 2021 murder of BJP leader Ranjith Sreenivasan. Sreenivasan, the BJP OBC Morcha state secretary, was brutally attacked and killed in his home in December 2021. The court found all 15 accused guilty of murder, with eight directly involved and four aiding with deadly weapons. Additionally, three conspirators were convicted of criminal conspiracy and murder. The sentencing awaits pronouncement by the court.
